Why We Built This

We wanted to have a Mass said, and there was no easy way to do it.

The parish office keeps normal hours. So do our jobs. Stopping by during the week was never going to happen, and the week always got away from us. We meant to ask. We never did.

That is a small thing and also not a small thing. Someone wanted a Mass offered for their mother and it did not happen, because the only way to ask was to be standing in a particular room between nine and four.

A family should be able to ask. A parish should be able to say yes without it costing anyone an afternoon.

What It Does

Memento gives a parish one place to take intentions, by phone, at the desk, or from its own website, and one schedule everyone in the office can see. The bulletin list, the sacristy sheet and the register come out of the same entries.

The office stops keeping a notebook, a spreadsheet and a memory in sync. The family gets a confirmation. Nobody has to remember who was told what.

What We Will Not Do

We do not touch the offering. It goes to the parish directly, and we never take a portion of it. There is no cart and no checkout, because an intention is not a purchase and should never look like one.

An intention given with no offering at all is recorded exactly like any other.
